Introducing The First Ever Badass Blogger Award

Welcome to the first ever Badass Blogger Award. A new blogging award created by yours truly!

If you’re part of the blogging community, I’m sure you’ve seen various blogger-awards floating about. Basically, it’s a peer-recognized award for your work as a content creator. I’ve been lucky enough to be nominated for one before and it was such a morale booster that I wanted to create my own.

Thus, The Badass Blogger Award was born.

On Blogging Awards

For those who aren’t as familiar with these kinds of peer-to-peer blogging awards, allow me to explain. The way it works is simple: a blogger is awarded by a fellow content creator who thinks they’re doing great work. That blogger then goes forth and nominates other bloggers and so on.

So… kind of like a pyramid scheme for creative types. Only, you know, instead of being a fraudulent way of stealing from the poor to give to the rich, it’s a way of recognizing and motivating other writers.

And, yes, I get it – blogging awards are a bit of an exercise in navel-gazing. But it’s fun! And once in awhile I like to do a fun post.

So, without further ado, I present to you: the first ever Badass Blogging Award.

What is The Badass Blogger Award

Like all blogging awards, the goal of the Badass Blogger Award is to show appreciation for fellow creators and inspire confidence. As all creative types know, it can sometimes feel overwhelming or useless. From writer’s block to imposter syndrome, it’s so easy to lose faith in yourself.

This award is a way to say, “Stop doubting yourself! What you’re doing is fantastic, you’re a badass, and keep it up.”

For me, a “badass” is someone who’s hard-working, motivated, and determined to forge ahead. Think Angelina Jolie, Betty White, Amal Clooney. For you, it might mean something different, ant that’s totally fine!

Who you nominate is entirely up to you. But you should try and choose creators who are both talented and supportive. Because nothing is more badass than being a supportive and encouraging member of the blogging community.

The Rules:

1. List the rules and display the award logo in your post.

2. Mention the creator and link back to the original blog post.

3. Thank the person who nominated you (and link back to their post!)

4. List 3 things about you that make you a badass.

5. Answer your nominator’s 6 questions (so, there will be a total of 7 questions.)

6. Create 6 new questions of your own.

7. Nominate 7 more badass bloggers and notify them of their win.

Here are my 7 questions for the Badass Blogging recipients to answer in a post of their own.

The first question will be used in every Badass Award post. Then whoever nominated you will make up 6 additional questions. The questions don’t have to be related to blogging either!
